Learn what the acronyms mean.

RPC, JWT, API, and especially any domain specific TLAs all help with big picture understanding if you know what they actually mean. Nothing’s worse than getting caught using an acronym incorrectly if the answer is in the acronym.

Random bit of extra trivia: If you can pronounce it (e.g. “REST”) then it’s an acronym. If you say each letter individually (e.g. “HTML”) then it’s an initialism. The more you know…
